Another PULL update
and a new book from a talented friend
Well, my friends, it seems there is another delay on the release date for my graphic memoir, PULL.
I promise, it’ll be worth the wait, but it now will not come out until the Spring of 2027. Production issues and the like. Plus, drawing hundreds of panels, as any comics artist will tell you, takes time.
But your patience will be rewarded. The artist, L. Fury, is brilliant and you’re going to love her work. I know I do.
I mean, look at this sample spread!
If you’ve pre-ordered (thank you!) your order will still count and will ship to you when the time comes.
In the meantime, Adib Khorram has a wonderful new novel out today called ONE WORD, SIX LETTERS and it is truly a powerful and moving read.
★"[A] searing, deeply felt dual-POV novel," —Publishers Weekly, starred review
Freshmen Dayton and Farshid couldn’t be more different—or so it seems.
When Dayton takes a dare and shouts the f-slur at a visiting author during a school event, it sets off a chain reaction that forces both boys to face parts of themselves they’d rather ignore.
Dayton, grappling with the fallout of his actions, faces rejection from his friends, disappointment from his parents, and a growing awareness of the harm he’s caused. Meanwhile, Farshid is left to untangle his own feelings—about himself and about the quiet struggle of coming to terms with his queerness in a world steeped in heteronormativity.
As their lives unexpectedly intersect, Dayton and Farshid must reckon with what kind of men they want to become and whether they have the courage to defy toxic masculinity and societal expectations.
Timely, raw, and deeply thought-provoking, this novel is perfect for fans of Jason Reynolds and Nic Stone.
Or there is always other stuff of mine to read!
For middle grade readers, you could check out the Princess Protection Program series, now available in Paperback from HarperCollins or the Search & Rescue series about 9/11 rescue dogs from Scholastic. Also, the Dog Tags series about military working dogs, is in print in a new edition.
Or, if you’re looking for an anti-authoritarian dragon-riding sci fi romp that reads like Akira meets How to Train Your Dragon, check out The Battle Dragons series.
Thanks, as ever, for your patience and support.

The spread looks beautiful! Can't wait to see the whole thing.
